Philippe Rives who has a long and established tradition in the wine industry has selected the well known region of the Minervois to offer its best products.
 The Languedoc-Roussillion which bears the appellation “Sud de France” has gained a strong recognition in the world and in China with its wines from the Minervois.

Exceptional country which goes back a long time in the history of wine making, benefiting of a perfect climate and from the vast experience of its wine growers passing their skills and love of the territory from generation to generation.
Under the protection of the famed Montagne Noire, a mere 12kms North East of the Medieval City of Carcassonne lays the plain called Minervois. There the Domain of the XIIth century Chateau Malves-Bousquet sits on 150ha of magnificent vines.
A vast diversity of geologic formations allows the growing of several vines:
On the flats hedging the river Clamoux there are white grapes growing: Chardonnay, Voignier, Sauvignon and some Reds: Merlot, Cabernet,
On the flanks facing the warm sun of the Languedoc and caressed by the gentle Tramontane and the capricious Autan winds the old plants very typical of the MInervois are growing : “Carignan” and “Allicante” and of course but not least the Appellation designated Syrah and Grenache Noir for the reds without forgetting the Marsanne and Grenache Blanc for the whites.
Each vine grown on the Chateau Malves-Bousquet estate receives a particular and appropriate attention drawn from the four generations of Bousquet who work the wine yard with on one side the aged proven methods and on the other the best of the latest technology of wine making.
The actual cellars built in 1867 have the particular distinction to be able to mature wines in six large vats with a wall thickness of 1.80m. This exceptional condition allows the “Bousquet” to keep the wines during its ageing period with regular but very natural temperature stability.

These are the wines we have selected out of the Tradition 2008 vintage:

A Red, powerful but round of palate with purple and deep robe.

A White, dry but voluptuous to accompany fish, shellfish. With a pale yellow robe of light blues, green and gray reflections.

A Rose, fresh, vibrant with an elegant pink robe an immediate heart pleasing drink.
